What Is The Last Alaskans About?
The Last Alaskans is an American reality television series. The series premiered on Animal Planet on May 25, 2015. The second season premiered on the Discovery Channel on April 12, 2016. The fourth season premiered on the Discovery Channel on November 25, 2018. The series follows several families and trappers who live in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska.

“Though I say so myself it was a rather fine show, well done, tasteful, moderate, visually very attractive, family-oriented and about as authentic as it gets in non-scripted TV. It was a blue-chip show and had a strong following of extremely loyal viewers, who seemed to have really bonded with and taken something meaningful from the series. Many have wondered why it was canceled and if there is any hope of its eventual return. ”

Everyone I know loves to watch,"The Last Alaskans"!!!
This is one of the best shows airing today. I could watch them everyday. There is all this crap on tv, one of the original programs in this venue you consider cancelling? Makes no sense.
I can’t believe the number of people who have written to say how much they loved The Last Alaskans as much as I do. True entertainment which we viewers enjoy following the lives of the families who loved living in there wilderness world. This is real family program that needs to stay on TV.
I wish that The Last Alaskans would be continued to be shown. This is a show that as a Disabled Veteran of the United States Navy. I have found very interesting. God Bless
I have been waiting for the new season and now that i see its not coming- i'm sick to my stomach. One of my favorite shows of all time. I have almost every episode in my dvr, Ive watched every minute several times. love the people on the show. feel almost like they are family. i actually cried when i heard Bob Harte passed. Please bring it back.
Please bring back The Last Alaskans, It is such a great show. I’ve been watching since the very first show aired and have seen every episode including the reruns shown on other channels. If it’s on, I watched it no matter what.

I have recently discovered the Last Alaskans series and really have enjoyed it. Would hate to see this series cancelled. I’ve told so many people about it and they are eager to start watching it.
Shame on you! This show besides Port Protection are the best show's on TV. I've bought or recorded all episodes and watch them over and over. We only watch nature or documentary's and love the simplicity of these two programs. Please renew for #5 season. With all these comments for the series…why would you NOT renew? Last Alaskans is an excellent series that is a must see for children and adults alike. This primitive, yet free life style will end in less than 50 yrs and that will be the end of it. Please renew the 5th season

I'll never understand how the execs at Discovery think. A ridiculously crappy show like Alaskan Bush People gets renewed year after year, but a down-to-earth, educational show about REAL people living REAL lives (The Last Alaskans, to be exact), doesn't get renewed??? Unbelievable! And, quite frankly, a very poor decision on Discovery's part.
Please renew this excellent tv program. One of the best on any tv channel. It makes you think about what matters in life even though most of the viewers will never live this life style. I looked forward to it every week as did many of my friends.
