What Is The Last Alaskans About?
The Last Alaskans is an American reality television series. The series premiered on Animal Planet on May 25, 2015. The second season premiered on the Discovery Channel on April 12, 2016. The fourth season premiered on the Discovery Channel on November 25, 2018. The series follows several families and trappers who live in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska.
Ashley Selden just updated on her blog that TLA Season 5 ain’t happening.
“Though I say so myself it was a rather fine show, well done, tasteful, moderate, visually very attractive, family-oriented and about as authentic as it gets in non-scripted TV. It was a blue-chip show and had a strong following of extremely loyal viewers, who seemed to have really bonded with and taken something meaningful from the series. Many have wondered why it was canceled and if there is any hope of its eventual return. ”

I know I could beg til the cows come home…the biggest disappointment is that all channels decide with the bottom line and nothing and no one else matters.

The Last Alaskans was the finest piece of work ever put on TV. The only explanation possible for why it was canceled is the fact that the producers are simply brain dead idiots. So sad

One of the best show next to the ukon men which was cancelled. Most of the Discovery channel shows are getting somewhat boring; hope port portion Alaska doesn’t get cancelled. You learn a lot watching these shows.

my whole family watch the "Last alaskans" and have been hoping will be renewed. This is a prime example of how anytime there is a show out there like this that is clean cut it always manages to get put on hold or cancelled because it's shows real life and not some fake storyline. My family and I really hope that the " Last Alaskans " are brought back for another season.
I miss seeing the way these people live their lives in the refuge.It kind of felt like being on an adventure in the refuge with them.Please renew TLA for many more seasons.
