What Is The Last Alaskans About?
The Last Alaskans is an American reality television series. The series premiered on Animal Planet on May 25, 2015. The second season premiered on the Discovery Channel on April 12, 2016. The fourth season premiered on the Discovery Channel on November 25, 2018. The series follows several families and trappers who live in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska.

“Though I say so myself it was a rather fine show, well done, tasteful, moderate, visually very attractive, family-oriented and about as authentic as it gets in non-scripted TV. It was a blue-chip show and had a strong following of extremely loyal viewers, who seemed to have really bonded with and taken something meaningful from the series. Many have wondered why it was canceled and if there is any hope of its eventual return. ”

We have watched this show from the beginning. They are our TV families. In today's world of worthless TV shows…this show is unique and rare. It's educational and the love they have for each other is precious. PLEASE BRING BACK THE SHOW!!! This show remains TV’s purest and most respectful example of what reality television might have been if the genre had a soul.

I can’t believe you haven’t heard enough to convince producers to bring this show back! I’ve had them all taped and watch them over and over they are so interesting! Do you read our reply’s? All of these comments are right on the money! You guys make a lot of bad shows but this is a keeper. I was so glad to see Animal Planet picked it up last season. I don’t care who runs it but as you can see a lot of us want it back! Please reconsider!
You can get rid of Alaska the Last Frontier and the Alaskan Bush family the Browns. The only decent show is The LAST ALASKANS !!!!!!!
Of all the garbage on TV, finally a GREAT show with honest people living life like they do, nothing scripted. I truly hope the show comes back, it's the only show I look forward to.

I look forward to winter because it signals another season of The Last Alaskans…usually. Terribly disappointed to learn there won't be another season to watch this year. It was so beautifully done, from camera work to editing, and I have come to feel that I know the Korths, Seldens, and everyone else living in the reserve. Truly one of the best programs available on any channel or network. Praying someone somewhere appreciates this and brings it back.
I am heartbroken to hear that there will be no new episodes of The Last Alaskans. I have never cared so much about folks on reality tv as I have about these wonderful men and women. As I type this, I am wondering what is happening in their world. I envision Heimo and Edna having a meal in their cozy cabin at the end of a day of checking traps; Charlie trekking through the woods, gun on his shoulder; and Ashley, Tyler and little Sydney running their dogs. Never was there a more genuine depiction of life – and lives so true and so different from ours. I'm saddened to think that I may never know anything about the futures of these people who feel like friends. Bring them back!
Bring the Last Alaskan back it is a GREAT show.

The Last Alaskans is an important program that redefines the often misnomer of a “reality show”! The continued welfare of Heimo and Edna is well worth documenting for historical reasons and their simple lifestyle gives the viewers a respite from the rest of television programming that glorifies all that is objectionable in our society! Bring Them All Back Please!
Best Show on Television! For kids and families to show what living in Alaska is really like. I was stationed in Alaska and these are the real Alaskan people. So disappointed. Just look at all the people who are disappointed.
