What Is The Last Alaskans About?
The Last Alaskans is an American reality television series. The series premiered on Animal Planet on May 25, 2015. The second season premiered on the Discovery Channel on April 12, 2016. The fourth season premiered on the Discovery Channel on November 25, 2018. The series follows several families and trappers who live in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska.

“Though I say so myself it was a rather fine show, well done, tasteful, moderate, visually very attractive, family-oriented and about as authentic as it gets in non-scripted TV. It was a blue-chip show and had a strong following of extremely loyal viewers, who seemed to have really bonded with and taken something meaningful from the series. Many have wondered why it was canceled and if there is any hope of its eventual return. ”

Yes, I'm so happy to hear that they were renewed. This is one of the best shows on television. I hope this next season includes Scott and Karine. I absolutely loved watching them on the last season. With so many of the children returning you could actually have a second series entitled The Last Alaskans the Next Generation.

I absolutely love the show The Last Alaskans, please Do Not Cancel it! It is such a real and true way of life. Watching the show, you feel like you know these families personally, and we are truly rooting for them to make it in God's country! It was heart wrenching when Bob passed away, but then we were able to see Krin, Scott and Koby come in and see if they truly have what it takes to make it out in that harsh environment, and I have no doubt they do. Please, please keep this show going, it truly will be missed by alot of people if taken off the air! I'm sure Bob Harte wouldn't want it cancelled because he no longer is with us!!!!

Please bring the show back. At a time when there appears to be no ethics, morality, honesty or integrity on any of the TV shows (or news cycle) this show represents so much of what people really yearn for. Simple, uncomplicated honest living, without frills (or cell phones).
This is the best show on TV. Please bring it back. Bring back the Lewis family, we don't care if they are living on their boat. These people are all living a much more exciting, adventurous and healthy lifestyle. This show gives all of us a glimpse at a better life.
The Last Alaskans represents the best of what television can be. The show is a work of art, a mesmerizing thing of beauty. It would be tragic to discontinue this extraordinary program, only to replace it with ordinary predictable programming. Please let us look forward to another season with the cast who have become like friends and family.

Why would Discovery Channel even think to cancel this show? Don't even go there! The Last Alaskans is my absolute FAV show! I looked forward each week to see the Korths and Seldens! The Last Alaskans is the most realistic, adventurous, exciting, and truthful "family" show on television! There is so much education that comes across the screen, giving one hope that life is not all about money, fame, and fortune. You have created an injustice against the American people by deciding to cancel this epic docudrama. Praying you have a change of heart as well as mind.

The Last Alaskans is one of the best shows I’ve seen in many years. Real people living a difficult, but fascinating, life, truly awesome locations and heartwarming family interactions. I can’t get enough of it. Please bring back one of the best programs on TV today!
