On a growing mission to make vet care affordable for everyone, the Planned Pethood International staff tackles unusual cases – and extraordinary new projects – to help more pets and owners than ever before. From baffling ailments to bizarre mishaps, every beloved pet gets the care it needs, at a fraction of the cost quoted elsewhere. Dr. Jeff and his team take on complicated procedures and work tirelessly to treat the pets and wild animals who need their help most.
Stories of hope and the power of the human and animal bond are stronger than ever on this all-new season of DR. JEFF: ROCKY MOUNTAIN VET, premiering on Animal Planet Saturday, March 26 at 8PM ET/PT.
In the season premiere, Dr. Jeff, his wife Dr. Petra and vet tech Hector, roll up their sleeves and head to Leadville, an old Colorado mining town, with an inspiring goal: to transform an abandoned restaurant into a new clinic. Here, they’ll provide desperately needed vet care to an underserved mountain community. Dr. Jeff trades his scalpel for a sledgehammer, and restaurant demolition is underway! Back in Denver, Dr. Baier treats a sneezing parrot; Dr. Jeff fights to save a Yorkie’s leg from amputation; and Dr. Jeff’s daughter, Melody, discovers a worrisome mass on her rescued dog Freya.
This season, the team’s caseload spans almost the entire animal kingdom, from a raccoon injured in an illegal trap to a tiny gecko with a big surprise. Dr. Jeff treats a puppy who needs reconstructive surgery to survive, while Dr. Baier removes a fishhook from a wild goose. And when clinic receptionist Jerri’s newly adopted puppy becomes seriously ill, Dr. Petra steps in to save the pup’s life. Then Dr. Jeff hits the road, traveling to a wolf sanctuary to spay and neuter a pack of wolf hybrids. Every day brings incredible stories and life-or-death stakes: Heroic Labrador Bob suffers a serious wound protecting his owner, and Dr. Don treats a Yorkie so obese she can barely walk. And between complex cases, Dr. Jeff even finds time to dig a swimming pool for his beloved dog Fred.

Dr Jeff is a saint! He thinks of the animals first and money second. The vets around my area think of money first and themselves and the animals later. I have five cats and a Great Pyrenees. I try to keep them safe and the dog and good health but he has heartworms and I could only afford part of his treatment. The vet would not take payments. Thank you Dr Jeff for being the man you are!
I love this show far more than any other on the Animal Planet network! I truly am disappointed that I have not seen any evidence it will be back. PLEASE bring this show back on!

Love the messages Dr. Jeff expresses. Importance of pets in peoples lives. Spay and neuter benefits pets, their owners, and their community. Pet care should be affordable, starting with spay and neuter. Caring, empathy, hopefulness, personal responsibility, are emphasized in every episode. And always entertaining.

Even after having pets (dogs, birds and turtles) ever since I was old enough to remember, I learn from Dr Jeff and his staff. Please bring back Dr Jeff Rocky Mountain Vet including Hector.
I think Dr. Jeff and his staff are awesome! I keep watching re-runs and hope for his return in 2024. If No Dr. Jeff, I'll have no reason to watch Animal Planet

Dr Jeff is the best show that the animal channel has. He is the what every animal could ask for. The A/C would be doing a great injustice if they were to cancel it. Please don't do that.
You have to bring Dr. Jeff back for a 9th season. The best vet show ever. He’s so dedicated and loves what he does. He drives hours to far away places that do not have access to any vets and are low income families to spade and neuter their pets, along with performing other surgeries if needed. He loves his calling and charges less than other places do so animals can survive and thrive. He’s amazing and so is his staff. Season 9, please, and thank you!!

I love Dr. Jeff and his whole staff! I am looking forward to season 9. This is a show for the whole family, especially animal lovers like me! Please keep him on. You could get rid of some of the north woods law type shows you have. They are all so repetitive!!! What I call cookie cutter shows!!

Of all the vet shows out there, Dr. Jeff should be one that they renew. He is a rock star of a vet and a human being. He will never not help an animal because an owner can't afford help. When someone comes to him with a quote from another vet of thousands of dollars, he literally charges hundreds. And of course there's his volunteer work he does here and in Mexico and helping sick animals obvioulsy but focusing on spaying/neutering and making a real difference in the homeless pet population because of his efforts. He is a shining example of what the standard of vet care should be and if more vets followed in his footsteps, we would really see a reduction in homeless pets. So they need to keep this show running to inspire others.
Dr Jeff is just great. His attitude towards life is amazing. He’s generous and very giving towards animals of all kinds, even humans!
