When Is Season 9 of “Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet” Coming Out? 2024 Air Date
Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet Season 9
Was Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet cancelled or renewed for season 9? When does it start on Animal Planet? Now that season 8 is over, fans are wondering if the show will continue for another season or not. In this post, we have summarized everything we know so far about the next season.
What Is Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet About?
Veterinary maverick Dr. Jeff Young and his fearless team of vets and techs are back for an all-new season of DR. JEFF: ROCKY MOUNTAIN VET. On a growing mission to make vet care affordable for everyone, the Planned Pethood International staff tackles unusual cases – and extraordinary new projects – to help more pets and owners than ever before. From baffling ailments to bizarre mishaps, every beloved pet gets the care it needs, at a fraction of the cost quoted elsewhere. Dr. Jeff and his team take on complicated procedures and work tirelessly to treat the pets and wild animals who need their help most.
Stories of hope and the power of the human and animal bond are stronger than ever on this all-new season of DR. JEFF: ROCKY MOUNTAIN VET, premiering on Animal Planet Saturday, March 26 at 8PM ET/PT.
In the season premiere, Dr. Jeff, his wife Dr. Petra and vet tech Hector, roll up their sleeves and head to Leadville, an old Colorado mining town, with an inspiring goal: to transform an abandoned restaurant into a new clinic. Here, they’ll provide desperately needed vet care to an underserved mountain community. Dr. Jeff trades his scalpel for a sledgehammer, and restaurant demolition is underway! Back in Denver, Dr. Baier treats a sneezing parrot; Dr. Jeff fights to save a Yorkie’s leg from amputation; and Dr. Jeff’s daughter, Melody, discovers a worrisome mass on her rescued dog Freya.
This season, the team’s caseload spans almost the entire animal kingdom, from a raccoon injured in an illegal trap to a tiny gecko with a big surprise. Dr. Jeff treats a puppy who needs reconstructive surgery to survive, while Dr. Baier removes a fishhook from a wild goose. And when clinic receptionist Jerri’s newly adopted puppy becomes seriously ill, Dr. Petra steps in to save the pup’s life. Then Dr. Jeff hits the road, traveling to a wolf sanctuary to spay and neuter a pack of wolf hybrids. Every day brings incredible stories and life-or-death stakes: Heroic Labrador Bob suffers a serious wound protecting his owner, and Dr. Don treats a Yorkie so obese she can barely walk. And between complex cases, Dr. Jeff even finds time to dig a swimming pool for his beloved dog Fred.
Animal Planet audiences can also join the conversation on social media by using the hashtag #DrJeff and following Animal Planet’s Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. All past seasons of DR. JEFF: ROCKY MOUNTAIN VET are available in their entirety on discovery+.
DR. JEFF: ROCKY MOUNTAIN VET is produced for Animal Planet by Double Act where Alastair Cook is executive producer and Alex Revill is showrunner. For Animal Planet, Lisa Lucas is executive producer.
The last episode of the series was released on September 24, 2022 in the US.

I love the show, Rocky mountain vet . Please bring it back!!!
Look forward to watching every season. Would be extremely disappointed if it were to be cancelled!!!!
I love the show and all of the hard workers. I love how they help people w animals that other vets give up on or people just cannot afford.
Please bring Dr. Jeff back it's all I have to look forward to please Iam old and in congestive heart failure
Please bring it back. It is one of my favorites!
I love this show its i think its inspirational to our youth and would love to see it continue on! Dr. Jeff and team is great! They show what it is to do a great service to their community!
One of the best, most interesting, and, certainly, most responsible shows on television…to not renew this show would be socially irresponsible. In this day and age, neutering is absolutely essential.
PLEASE BRING THIS BLESSED TEAM OF LOVING AND CARING PEOPLE BACK AND I HOPE YOU WON'T BLUR OUT THE SURGERY'S. I'VE LEARNED ALOT ABOUT THE PROPER CARE OF OUR ANIMALS. I WISH THEY WERE IN KENTUCKY . I'M TIRED OF PLAYING RUSSIAN RULET WITH MY PETS WHILE TRYING TO FIND A GREAT ONE.
Love.love.love this show. PLEASE put this show back on the air
I really hope the show comes back on. I do look forward to watching every Saturday.
Dr. Jeff's show is an inspiration. We have a rescue in the wilds of France and I find the good care and common sense of the show influences us. Helps to keep us cool and calm in stressful situations. Spay and neuter them all before homing! Looking forward to Season 9.
I love Dr. Jeff and his team. This show is a treasure and should continue as long as Dr. Jeff's health allows. Actually this is the best show AP has.
Please keep this show on. Dr. Jeff and his entire team have their priorities well set. They truly show how much they care – for the animals and people. I've been told many times that I care more for my animals than I do for people. Not totally true – but I find that I have a limited number of people that I care about. Animals give unconditional love – many people simply don't. This TV show wonderfully shows some of those people I truly respect! The Kansas City area could sure use a group like you here!
Best show on Animal Planet. It's bad enough you've cancelled Pit Bulls and Parolees. Please don't cancel this show. Dr Jeff and his entire team are amazing. If it's cancelled I'm done with Animal Planet.
I heard most of the shows on AP aren't coming back due to the sale of the channel. Apparently the conglomerate that bought doesn't think viewers like animal shows. Love Dr. Jeff and staff.. I'll be sad if the show is done.
To not allow a show of this caliber to return would be a true sin! He not only treats the animals (physically)but also the pet owners (emotionally)! I had to euthanize my cat because I was unemployed and broke and could not afford vet care…if more vets were like Dr Jeff and his staff more folks like me would not have to experience that loss! Shame on the haters!
My husband and I LOVE this show! When other vets are charging enormous amounts for animal care, it is so uplifting that Dr Jeff will help all animals and will adjust the costs for those that struggling. Dr Jeff never gives up on any animal that is in need of help. We enjoy his travels to other countries, as well.
Please do not cancel this spectacular vet show. Dr. Jeff and his team are excellent. I can’t tell you how much I love watching the show.
It would be a travesty to cancel Dr Jeff.it’s bad enough you cancelled pit bulls and parolees.
My husband & I have been watching Dr. Jeff from day 1. This program is the best on Animal Planet. Dr. Jeff & the team are AMAZING!! Please renew 2023 season. There never should be a question in renewing this program. It should be automatically renewed each season.
I'm a CNA and visit clients at their homes. I have a lady that I take care of & we watch Dr. Jeff every weekend I'm working,it brightens her day,& she just loves Dr. Jeff & his staff(she likes Hector too) she's 83 this year,& we just love all the work you all do for all of these animals. Every vet has a right to run his business & state his opinion as they see fit,I'm glad we can count on Dr. Jeff & his team to tell us all the truth about the real problem animal owners everywhere face, sometimes we have to choose to not proceed with quality care because we can't afford it. Thank you for what you all do,and for making my little lady's day!
I have been watching Dr. Jeff Rocky Mountain Vet since the first day it premiered. This is one of the BEST of the BEST shows on television and I hope the Animal Planet knows what a gem it is and will be renewing it for as long as Dr. Jeff wants to get his message of spay/neuter and affordable health care for our companion animals to the rest of the world!
One of the best shows on TV. Love Dr.Jeff and his philosophy of giving back to poor communities and folks that can't afford most vet care.
This is one of the best shows on APL. Please ensure we devoted fans can "stay tuned" for every episode in 2023!!
????. PLEASE BRING BACK HIS WONDERFUL SHOW………IS THE BEST EVER
Pennsylvania
I absolutely love the show with Dr. Jeff and his staff. Hope it continues. The only thing on animal planet should be about animals not how to build a treehouse!
Dr Jeff is one of my favorite shows. You have stopped Pitbulls and Parolees so if Dr Jeff doesn't come back I will drop animal planet
My husband and I are both 81, and both handicapped; thus far we are able to stay in our apartment with our wonderful Standard Poodle. We all three waited every Saturday night for dear Dr Jeff. PLEASE bring them back…PLEASE.
Love Dr Jeff and team, they are brilliant.
Either bring it back or let us know it isn’t coming back! This is just rude. We need this and Pitbulls and Parolees too.
