What Is Carter About?
The series stars Jerry O'Connell as Harley Carter, the Canadian star of a hit American television detective series who returns to his hometown to rethink his life after having a public meltdown on the red carpet at an awards show, but finds that his old friends and neighbors can no longer separate him from his television persona and keep asking him to investigate real cases.
An embarrassing public meltdown in Hollywood prompts Harley Carter, the star of America’s No. 1 procedural TV show, to retreat to his small Ontario hometown to reconnect with his roots. Now that he’s back, Harley wants to prove that he is more than a pretty face. But residents can’t seem to see past his TV character and take him seriously, including his childhood friends Sam and Dave. So Harley taps into his acting experience to become an actual detective, partnering with police veteran Sam and street-smart, coffee truck owner Dave to solve real crimes, including the mystery of Harley’s mother’s disappearance years ago.
The cast includes Sydney Poitier Heartsong as Carter’s childhood friend and police officer Sam Shaw, Kristian Bruun as streetwise truck stop owner Dave Leigh, as well as Brenda Kamino. In Season 2 Lyriq Bent joined the cast as the interim police chief, Joyce Boyle and Andy Berman took over as showrunner. Produced by Amaze Film and Entertainment, the series is shot in North Bay, Ontario in 2017.

I hope you will do a season 3 of Carter. It has been so great to have something fun to watch during Covid. I love everyone in the cast. Don’t let down the fans of this show.
Carter is one of those shows that has it all… drama, humor, suspense, mystery, romance, and a great setting. As long as the writers stay away from contemporary issues and keep true to the characters from episode to episode; this show could continue for several seasons. Compromise, try to incorporate or cater to minor interests, and this show is toast. The actors are fantastic. Bring back Koji. Just don’t cancel… Bravo. It’s really the only show that brings viewers to you at this point.

It is a great show and needs to be renewed. But seems to me the good shows get cancelled and the mediocre or icky shows get renewed. So my guess is because it is a perfect show it will be cancelled. Sorry. Just my observations of the last few good shows that have come out are no longer on the air.
This is such a witty and smart show. It would be such a tragedy if this show was cancelled. The characters are very much the draw to this show. The scenery is beautiful too. Don't cancel this fantastic show!!!
