Premise: Based on Armistead Maupin’s book series Tales of the City and the ’90s miniseries of the same name, this Netflix revival centers on a group of quirky San Francisco residents. It picks up twenty years after Mary Ann Singleton leaves her life behind to chase her professional dreams. Now, Mary is middle-aged and must come to terms with the next chapter in her life. When she’s reunited with her daughter and ex-husband, Mary is quickly drawn back to her old life on 28 Barbary Lane.
