What Is Vanderpump Rules About?
Lisa Vanderpump first gained fame as a cast member on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," but her full-time job is as co-owner and boss at West Hollywood, Calif., restaurant SUR, which stands for Sexy Unique Restaurant. Vanderpump balances her motherly instinct with her shrewd business sense to maintain control over the restaurant's wild group of employees who are working at the eatery while pursuing their dreams. Drama seems to be part of the job for the employees at SUR, who tend to date -- and, in most cases, subsequently break up with -- their fellow co-workers.
Season 12 Update
• Raise your glasses high as Bravo orders another round of “Vanderpump Rules” with a greenlight of season 12. The new season will feature Lisa Vanderpump and a new group of close-knit SUR-vers who are as complicatedly involved with one another as their iconic predecessors.
• In addition, “Vanderpump Rules” will celebrate the past decade of heartbreaks, friendship rifts and scandals with a retrospective special highlighting the past 11 seasons.
• Under Lisa Vanderpump’s watchful eye, the West Hollywood mainstay SUR – and now TomTom – welcomes the next batch of servers, hosts and bartenders rife with plenty of drama, situationships and frenemies.
• The new season is set to begin production next year. The premiere date and cast will be announced at a later date.
• “What a thrill it is to build on the legacy of this series by doing it all over again,” said Alex Baskin, executive producer 32 Flavors. “With profound appreciation for the original group and their iconic run, we can’t wait for the audience to see a dynamic new group of co-workers and friends make their way through life together.”
