What Is The Mandalorian About?
The Mandalorian is an upcoming American space Western web television series scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on November 12, 2019. Set in the Star Wars universe, the series will take place five years after the events of Return of the Jedi and follows a Mandalorian bounty hunter beyond the reaches of the New Republic.
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. “The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic. Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, and Giancarlo Esposito star. Jon Favreau is the showrunner on this original series from Lucasfilm and also an executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Directors Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Deborah Chow, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Taika Waititi will helm different episodes from writers Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa and Chris Yost.
