What Is The Ghost Bride About?
1890s Malacca, Li Lan finds herself in the afterlife and becomes mired in a mystery linked to the sinister, deceased son of a wealthy family.
The Ghost Bride (Chinese: ε½Όε²ΈδΉε«) is a 2020 Taiwanese-Malaysian Netflix original series co-directed by Malaysian directors Quek Shio-chuan and Ho Yu-hang. It is based on the novel The Ghost Bride written by Malaysian writer Yangsze Choo, and stars Huang Pei-jia, Wu Kang-jen, Ludi Lin, and Kuang Tian.
Set in 1890s Colonial Malacca, a Malaysian Chinese woman accepts a marriage proposal from a wealthy family to be the “ghost bride” to their deceased son – an opportunity that would save her family from a lifetime of debt, but require her to spend the rest of her days haunted by a ghostly spouse. Desperate to escape the situation, she soon finds herself wrapped up in a murder mystery and embroiled in otherworldly affairs far bigger than she could have imagined.

This was wonderful and, having read the book, just loved it! But, Iβm a 77 year old woman who lives in southern Illinois, so my comments wonβt carry much weight!
This is great show. Could be a great fantasy following show like so many others if supported. Hopefully you bring it back.
Bring it back, please!!! I cried my eyes out on so many parts and there's still so much more to tell. I haven't binge watched a show in a while, and I just could not turn this off!! These two are my new favorite TV couple.
there's another website saying its renewed for 2025. but i'm not sure if that's true. i hope it it..
it's such a good show and it left us with a slight cliff hanger so i know there's room to add more to the story! i want to have an episode of their adventures and see them blossom as a couple.
