To commemorate and honor Juneteenth, TBS will kick off the weekend with the premiere of “Friday Night Vibes” on Friday, June 18 at 7:30pm ET/PT. “Friday Night Vibes” is a new 52-week movie destination that spotlights feel-good comedies, action-packed blockbusters and culturally significant storytelling inclusive of diverse voices. Snoop Dogg joins host Tiffany Haddish and co-host Deon Cole as their first in-studio guest. The premiere episode also includes a double feature of “Creed” and “Creed 2,” a discussion on the origins of Juneteenth and some surprise guests.

Following the premiere of “Friday Night Vibes,” on Juneteenth, Saturday, June 19, TBS will air the following feature films as part of a Juneteenth Movie Marathon:

Creed

Adonis Johnson never knew his famous father, boxing champion Apollo Creed, who died before Adonis was born. However, boxing is in his blood, so he seeks out Rocky Balboa and asks the retired champ to be his trainer. Rocky sees much of Apollo in Adonis, and agrees to mentor him, even as he battles an opponent deadlier than any in the ring. With Rocky’s help, Adonis soon gets a title shot, but whether he has the true heart of a fighter remains to be seen.

Creed 2

Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. Facing an opponent with ties to his family’s past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Black Panther
