Prime Video released the trailer for the upcoming Australian Original movie Five Blind Dates. The romantic comedy is the first feature film produced locally by Prime Video in Australia. Five Blind Dates is co-created and co-written by actor and influencer Shuang Hu (The Family Law), and actor and comedian Nathan Ramos-Park (As We Babble On).

Five Blind Dates will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on February 13 in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.

What is Five Blind Dates About?

Twenty-something Lia (Hu) is stuck. Faced with her failing traditional Chinese tea shop inherited from her beloved grandma, and the prospect of attending her younger sister’s impending wedding single and alone, she is reluctantly gifted with a prophecy – the fate of her shop and her love life are intertwined, and the secret lies in one of her next five dates.

Under pressure from her family, Lia agrees to be set up with five different suitors. With her best friend Mason (Ilai Swindells) by her side, will Lia find herself (and love), or risk disappointing those she loves the most and losing the business she has put her whole life into? Hu leads an ensemble cast including Yoson An, Jon Prasida, Desmond Chiam, Ilai Swindells, Tiffany Wong, Renee Lim with Rob Collins, and Tzi Ma.

Five Blind Dates is produced by Amazon Studios and Goalpost Pictures Australia, with Goalpost’s Kylie du Fresne as producer and Ben Grant and Rosemary Blight as executive producers. Shuang Hu and Nathan Ramos-Park also serve as producers. Shawn Seet serves as director.
