Preservationist Brett Waterman brings new life to historic homes on DIY Network’s Restored. Although he was raised in Southern California, Brett spent a lot of time on his family’s farm in Oklahoma learning restoration skills from his father and grandfather. Later, he studied political science and history at UCLA in Los Angeles. Brett says he has a deep appreciation for architecture and landscape and prefers to take a holistic approach to restoration. On Restored, Brett focuses on homes with fascinating stories and unrealized potential hidden beneath neglect, bad renovations and ugly additions.

I absolutely love Restored.. everything is done to the age of the home..even the new looks old.Love it more than the others where everything looks like everything else

I too love this show. Since Magnolia took over DIY, shows like "Restored" have been given the short shrift. I wish HGTV would take the series over and put it into their regular rotation.
I love this show! It is absolutely one of my favorites on any channel. Tons of people can and do shows where they remodel homes to create the open shoebox floor plan with decor that looks good today (but not in 5 years) that will age poorly, but few shows respect the past heritage of homes built with care and beauty, restore their glory, and also make them functional for now. The homes he works on are one of a kind incredible beauties. They used to be and they are again when they complete their work.
hands down, the best show on tv about home renovation! i just hope joanna keeps her nose out of itand how he operates and designs. no one is better at bringing old homes back and i'm really, really tired of joanna's same old designs all the time. and it seems her "customers" complain quite a bit about what is done or not or not done when they finish a house. so let brett furnish them and keep his way of doing things. also pretty tired of chip;'s costant childish behavior and braggadocio attitude. he's not all that special..l in fact i watch some things on magnolia but no longer watch chip and joanns's remodeling at all.
I LOVE this show. I love the attention to detail that Brett and his crew bring to each and every home. I love how he brings back all the hidden beauty in these historic homes. I just wish I had the money to restore an old home. PLEASE RENEW it for another season

I need Restored to come back
I miss Restored a lot. I watched every one of his shows and watch them again. I also wish the show with old homes (stone) on the east coast would return. Loved that show too. HGTV keeps cancelling shows I like. A few remaining. I wish they would let us vote. I have an old home and working on it slowly to bring back what I can. Restored show inspires me.

Brett's work is done true to form which doesn't exist in the rest of these so called restoration programs.
Restored with Brett Waterman is the most quality show hands down! Entertaining & educational. I’ve learned so much. If I had seen Restored 20 years ago I may have chosen restoration as a career. Please bring Brett & the crew back!! 😍

Restored is the best show on Magnolia & needs to be renewed for season 8! It’s fascinating to see how quality homes built years ago can still retain their personal beauty even when updated for today’s living requirements! Brett Watterman is an artistic genius!
Restored is pretty much the only home show on Magnolia worth watching. Actual restoration and different ever time not cut and repast.

Restore is one of only few shows worth watching on Magnolia. If they do not renew it will be one less show for me to watch. I never watch beachfront bargain shows or multiple showings of old shows
