Record-breaking Hollywood producer Will Packer's popular dating series hosted by Thomas "Nephew Tommy" Miles explores the real-life dating interactions of sexy, successful, and grown Black men and Black women in their 30s and 40s who are each looking for lasting love and an authentic relationship. Will Packer Media and Lighthearted Entertainment produce the series.
“Ready to Love” is not your mother’s “let’s fall in love in thirty minutes or less” dating show; these are grown men and women in their 30’s and 40’s who are seeking the special relationship-of-a-lifetime that has eluded them thus far, and the baggage they each bring to the party is real. The old adage that “The course of love never did run smooth” is proven to be truer than ever when these eager singles come together to meet, date, cross-date, group-date and re-date, all in an effort to discover and claim “the one.” The romantic high drama is palpable from the moment that 18 attractive and successful women and men first set eyes on one another at the Mansion Mixer in Dallas that sets them all off on the bumpy road to love.

I once loved "Ready To Love". The first season was really good. The second season would have been better if they had left Tondy Gallant off the show. She made it trashy with her over-the-top loudness. The Resort and Houston were also good seasons.
However, beginning with the DC season, RTL decided to focus more on stereotypical drama than on helping singles find love. RTL has also began to glorify mean girls, which nobody wants to see. They seem to have forgotten that their target audience is primarily 40+, we don't want to see that mess. We want to see love or see how the singles handle it if they do not find love.
We do not want to see overly edited and overly produced "story lines". Just let the process play out naturally. "Ready To Love" should not be in competition with the "Real Housewives of X" or any of the other ridiculous reality shows. "Ready To Love" promoted itself to be a sophisticated show about professional singles trying to find love. Instead, what the viewers get is a group of people who just want to be on television in order to promote/grow their brands, increase their followers, are who just want to create idiotic drama.
If this is all that "Ready to Love" has to offer, I will no longer watch.
