What Is Pit Bulls & Parolees About?
Tia Torres is the heart of Villalobos Rescue Center, the largest Pit Bull rescue center in the U.S. For over 30 years, she and her family have gone above and beyond to give a second chance at life to pit bulls - dogs who have continually been demonized due to the reputation of their breed- and parolees. Now, in an all-new season of PIT BULLS & PAROLEES, new audiences and dedicated fans will be able to witness even more incredible stories of redemption and rescue with Tia and her Villalobos family in their never-ending battle to save man and man's best friend.
In the season’s premiere, the Villalobos Rescue Center is tested as Hurricane Ida bears down on Louisiana, leaving Tia and the rest of the crew race to move the rescue dogs to safety amid the intense storm. We’ll also see Mariah take the reins for her first solo wolf-dog rescue named Dorothy from the streets of Louisiana, while Lizzy and Earl help a music-loving couple from Kentucky find their dream dog. Additionally, the premiere episode of “Pit Bulls & Parolees” is a part of Animal Planet’s annual “You Watch, We Give” tradition where for every viewer that tunes in to watch the season premiere on October 22, 2022 at 9PM ET/PT, Animal Plant will donate $1.00 to Villalobos Rescue Center up to the amount of $20,000, which will go toward food and shelter needs for rescued pit bulls.
Later this season, audiences will witness incredible rescue stories from far and wide. We’ll see Tia and daughter-in-law Lizzy answer a distress call from a shelter in Mississippi and take on eight hound dogs in desperate condition; the Villalobos team prep to welcome the public for a volunteer day as the new Villalobos Rescue Center location nears completion; daughter Mariah and her older brother Moe put their motorcycle passion to work by building a motorcycle sidecar in honor of her recently deceased dog, Tater, in order to give rides to older dogs at the rescue; and Apple, a senior dog who finally finds their forever home. Audiences will also witness Tia hire her first female parolee in Villalobos History to the team to see if she’ll be the right fit as a dog trainer and dog handler.

I enjoy watching the show & I can't get Discovery +. I t is nit fair ti us .Please put it back on.
I, too, am watching old reruns of one of my all-time favorite TV shows, and for me that's more than 60 years of TV. I missed the entire last season of "Pit Bulls & Parolees" because I kept waiting for it on "Animal Planet." I didn't know until August the show had moved to "Discovery". Where was all the publicity about this change? Please have a new season somewhere and advertise it! This show deserves more viewers, not fewer. I don't do "streaming".
I can't imagine not having "Pit Bulls & Parolees" on TV. For years I've wanted to see every show and keep watching the re-runs. I'll miss it terribly if it's never on TV again.
The show does so much good for all the dogs out there it would be criminal to cancel the show. Discovery please keep doing this series. They help not just the stray dogs but parolee’s also!!!!

Like so many others I have been waiting for it to return. Sure didn't do a good job of letting those of us that love this show know where it went. I had heard they weren't filming during the pandemic, now I find that isn't true. I hope they continue with the show. It's educational and shows so much love for these dogs.
Please renew Pitbulls and Parolees! I love watching this series and it's the only series that I take time out of my day to sit down and watch. I mostly love it because I love pitbulls and had to put two down in 4 years. It also comforts me and I learn a lot more about these precious animals than what I thought that I knew.
Still waiting to see if there will be new episodes of one of my favorite shows-Pitbulls. Last I saw was Tia was trying to combine her locations to a larger one that better fit her needs. Then per some Facebook posts there were the storms. Hope Tia, family, dogs and parolees are okay.
I love the show! I like what it stands for…the "under dog"…meaning the dogs rescued and giving the parolees a second chance! Tia and family are awesome! I look forward to each season and will be very sad if #19 does not happen.
Absolutely love Pitbulls and Parolees. I didn't even realize that they were on the discovery channel. Never saw anything about changing from animal planet. Shame on everyone for not telling people what is going on! I haven't seen this show since Tia was fighting the storms and trying to get a bigger building. Lets get this program going!
Don't put it on Discovery + too many people can't afford it, and they shouldn't have to pay to see it anyway….. Shame on the producers…. just bring it back on Animal Planet but not with a paid subscription….. I'll never pay to watch it, no matter what.
I remain a big fan and deeply respectful of Tia and her family's work and efforts to protect dogs and people who have been incarcerated. It is such a noble endeavor. Please bring the show back.

Love Pitbulls and Parolees and I also missed the season when it was moved to Discovery channel. Don't know why it wasn't advertised on Animal Planet that it was moving. Makes one wonder if the viewers just aren't important enough to Discovery Channel to bother with letting us know. So, will they let us know if there will be more seasons or not? Very frustrated!!!!!!
I have been watching this show since season one back in their california days and i havent ever missed a season exepct this one because i didnt know about the change and i dont have discovery +.
Love Pit bulls and Parolees, have DVDs, merchandise and shows on DVR but miss the new shows as does my sister. They need the show on to help with donations. They do great things! Prefer them on animal planet but will watch wherever they are. Just donated to them last week. We want our PB&P!
I too signed up for Discovery+ to watch 2022 episodes. Searched & voiced & it's not there, only reruns from Animal Planet. Whole channel is reruns old shows. I don't like reruns where you already know the dialog so cancelled. I can get PBP reruns, only ones I watch, other places. Only show that is actually real as well as a couple vet shows. Says they are streaming whatever that means, but how can we find that? Of all the trash they should cancel instead. Shows how low viewer mentally has sunk.

I used to be terrified of pit bulls then I started watching Tia’s show. Lost my fear , then my son got a pit bull puppy rescue and I fell in love. My Dad raised English spaniels and they were really sweet. My son’s puppy is now 7 and there is no sweeter dog. I absolutely love the breed and wouldn’t have any other. I don’t know why AP did not renew. Shame on them.

We been watching PB&P everyday it's on. We don't have Discovery and we are disappointed that we missed the premiere Oct. 22, 2022 we would like it very much to watch on Animal Plant. Wanting to adopt and donate .we are pit bull lovers!
