Melissa McBride, popular for her role as “Carol Peletier”, is coming back to our screens. This time, she’s set as a regular in the second season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. The announcement was made at the recent New York Comic Con.

Fans will remember McBride’s outstanding portrayal of “Carol” for eleven seasons in the original The Walking Dead series. There, she shared the screen with Norman Reedus, who now leads the spin-off based in France as “Daryl Dixon”.

This spin-off isn’t just any show. It’s been smashing records. It debuted as the most-viewed premiere on AMC+ and is on track to become the platform’s most-watched series. It also ranks as a top 15 cable drama this year for adults 25-54.

Regarding her return, McBride expressed, “There’s more of Carol’s story left to tell. I’ve always felt there was an unresolved tension when we last saw her, watching Daryl ride away. Their stories are profound, whether they’re apart or together. I’m thrilled to see where Carol’s journey takes her in this new setting.”

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon- The Book of Carol is currently being filmed in France and will premiere in 2024. The cast includes big names like Reedus, McBride, and Clémence Poésy, to name a few. And the plot? It follows Daryl’s unexpected journey in France as he attempts to return home, making meaningful connections along the way.
