What Is Life Below Zero About?
The everyday struggles of living in the secluded state of Alaska where one wrong decision could cost you your life.
Life Below Zero follows seven people as they battle for the most basic necessities in the state with the lowest population density in the United States. Living at the ends of the world’s loneliest roads and subsisting off the rugged Alaskan bush, they battle whiteout snow storms, man-eating carnivores, questionable frozen terrain, and limited resources through a long and bitter winter. Some of them are lone wolves; others have their families beside them. All must overcome despairing odds to brave the wild and survive through to the spring. Only the mentally fit will be able to endure the extreme test of isolation and endless work required to survive the many months of winter in the Alaska bush.
On August 25, 2020, it was announced that the fourteenth season will premiere on September 7, 2020. Nat Geo also renewed the series for season 15.
The last episode of the series was released on November 9, 2021 in the US.

It is my favorite show on television. I have watched it over and over in 2020-2022. It portrays a clean, simple but beautiful view of AK and the people who choose life there.
I am retired with a master’s degree and little outdoor experience, but this show captured my heart, especially the DeWilde family and Sue; however, all characters have have shown many beautiful values.

The best show on tv. The individuals are all so inspiring and competent. I especially love Sue and Agnes, and the indomitable Denise. These women are true role models. All the men are great but these women are just outstanding human beings.
