High School Musical: The Musical: The Series Season 3

Was High School Musical: The Musical: The Series cancelled or renewed for season 3? When does it start on Disney+? Now that season 2 is over, fans are wondering if the show will continue for another season or not. In this post, we have summarized everything we know so far about the next season.

What Is High School Musical: The Musical: The Series About?

Set at East High School, “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” introduces members of the drama club and their faculty advisers as they work their way toward the opening night of their school’s first-ever production of “High School Musical: The Musical.” New romances blossom, old friendships are tested to their limit while new ones are formed, rivalries flare, and lives are changed forever as these students discover the transformative power that only high school theater can provide.

In season two, the East High Wildcats, who are preparing to perform “Beauty and the Beast” as their spring musical, face off against rival school North High to win a prestigious and cutthroat student theater competition. Wigs are snatched, loyalties are tested, and ballads are belted. The season also features brand-new solos written by Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett.

Disney+ has given a third season greenlight to its acclaimed original series “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” from Disney Branded Television. Created and executive-produced by Tim Federle (“Ferdinand,” “Better Nate Than Ever”), season three will follow the Wildcats as they leave the hallways of East High for the ultimate summer at sleepaway camp, complete with campfires, summer romances and curfew-less nights. Production for the third season will relocate from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles and begin later this year.

“We are overjoyed to be heading to the great outdoors for season three, and grateful to our partners and friends at Disney+ for their continued support of our next-generation Wildcats,” said Tim Federle

The series stars Olivia Rodrigo, Joshua Bassett, Sofia Wylie, Matt Cornett, Larry Saperstein, Julia Lester, Dara Reneé, Frankie Rodriguez, Joe Serafini, Mark St. Cyr and Kate Reinders. Guest-starring this season are Derek Hough, Olivia Rose Keegan, Roman Banks, Andrew Barth Feldman and Asher Angel. “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” is executive-produced by its creator Tim Federle (Golden Globe and Academy Award-nominated “Ferdinand”) and is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes, and recently was awarded a GLAAD Media Award.

The last episode of the series was released on July 30, 2021 in the US.
