Heartstopper Series Premiere

When does "Heartstopper" start on Netflix? Will Heartstopper be a successful show? Who is in the cast? Where to watch trailer & more. In this post, we have summarized everything we know so far about the new Netflix series.

What Is Heartstopper About?

Heartstopper is an upcoming British coming-of-age television series developed for Netflix based on the webcomic and graphic novel of the same name by Alice Oseman.

Based on Alice Oseman’s series of comics, which originally launched as a web comic on Tumblr and Tapas, “Heartstopper” tells the story of Charlie and Nick, who become friends at an all-boys school in Kent and quickly discover a romance blossoming between them.

Daniel Edwards-Guy served as casting director. An open casting call went out in January and February 2021 for five of the main characters as well as three recurring. Oseman explained that Aled would not appear in the adaptation because she wanted to respect his story in Radio Silence. After reportedly over 10,000 people auditioned, she announced the first round of casting in April 2021, with Kit Connor and Joe Locke starring as Nick and Charlie respectively. The rest of the cast were announced days later, including Yasmin Finney, Sebastian Croft, William Gao, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Cormac Hyde-Corrin, Rhea Norwood, and Tobie Donovan. Jenny Walser joined in the cast in May.
