“Gold Rush: White Water” Season 6 Release Date Confirmed
Gold Rush: White Water Season 6
Was Gold Rush: White Water cancelled or renewed for season 6? When does it start on Discovery? Who will be returning for the new season? In this post, we have summarized everything we know so far about the next season.
What Is Gold Rush: White Water About?
The Dakota Boys put together a team of intrepid divers, mountaineers and bush mechanics to go where no miner has ever managed to explore - the depths of freezing plunge pools in white water rapids that have only recently become accessible. Nothing will stop these guys - they'll dive in raging torrents with a six-inch suction dredge where one wrong move could have deadly consequences.
Dustin Hurt has gambled everything on gold claims deeper in the Alaskan wilderness than ever before on this season of “Gold Rush: White Water.” Hurt and his crew start from scratch and must relocate their entire mining operation across the Chilkat mountains and nine miles up the mighty Tsirku river. They must learn new skills to overcome the hostile terrain and mother nature at her worst. This season could be truly life changing if they can get down to bedrock and their new claim lives up to its legendary name, “Nugget Creek.”
After a record gold haul last year, veteran gold miner Dustin Hurt returns to Alaska to discover his McKinley Creek mine site buried in snow after suffering the heaviest snowfall in over a decade. The unseasonably late snow creates challenges from day one. From impassable roads to raging white-water caused by record snow melt, the miners must tackle every obstacle mother nature throws at them if they have any hope at uncovering a life changing pile of gold.
As Dustin and his team of fearless white-water miners forge ahead, his father Fred Hurt returns to Alaska with shocking news. For the first time in four years, Fred will forgo running a white-water operation of his own and embark on a hunt for his next big mining opportunity. It’s a mission to keep the family’s mining legacy alive. For Dustin, Fred’s sudden change in plans presents an opportunity; buy up Fred’s mining equipment and for the first time ever, run two crews simultaneously. It’s a huge gamble that will require double the investment and double the manpower, but Dustin knows this is the opportunity of a lifetime. An opportunity to double his chances of uncovering the millions in gold out there for the taking.

Great show, it's more like what an average person could try other than the diving gear part. I've always wanted a small dredge. I found a small fall that had an 8 foot deep plunge at the bottom with a lot of small gold in the bottom. We were backpacking at Elbert in Colorado in 1973 and I dove 3 times and panned the results but All my friends said it was fools gold so I gave up. Turned out when I got home and tested it, it was 3.5 ounces of real gold. I love these shows.
I love this show! This is the only one I still watch now that Yukon Gold was canceled. I really do hope that this show makes it. It would be nice to see more small operations like this with their own show as it is easier to follow and seems to be much more realistic.
Absolutely fantastic show. I love the eternal optimism of the crew, and I hope they strike it big.
I realy hope that there will be a season 6. Season 5 was great and looks like season will be just as good or better.
If it don't come back I think I may just go there gold rush white water to me is the best gold rush show out of all them .man let me say been long time waiting for season 6 come on with PLEASE!!!!
I absolutely LOVE White Water! They take heart stopping risks to get their nuggets which are in my opinion way more fun than slucing for dust. This is the best of the Gold Rush (emphasis on rush) shows. Parker's Trail is my second favorite. I hope Dustin and his crew strike it BIG because they deserve it and have worked very hard for it.
Love this show…brings back memories of my own Alaska creek dredging. I'm also impressed in how much they've learned over the years and the tools/rigging that had helped them.
But, the excess drama the producers accentuate, almost at times make me want to just turn it off.
