What Is Giri/Haji About?
A BBC co-production by the name of Giri/Haji is reportedly coming to Netflix around the world in January 2020 shortly after its BBC release in the United Kingdom. Hereβs what we know so far.
You may not have heard of this show yet and youβd be forgiven as its flown under most radars thus far. It was first announced that production had begun on the new series back in December 2018.
The series is both a Netflix co-production that sees UK broadcaster the BBC join the venture. Itβs been streaming in full on BBC iPlayer since October 2019. Itβs among the many Netflix shows co-produced with the BBC including notable hits such as Peaky Blinders and the upcoming Dracula series.
The ambitious series that consists of 8 episodes is split between London and Tokyo. It sees a detective from Tokyo head to London to find his brother who is suspected to be involved with the Yakuza.

An Eastern culture in a very "western" plot with some bloody scenes and humanistic messages about LGBT. And Rodney (Will Sharpe) did a great job here! After reading this, I will watch it again!
