Will Garage Squad Continue Season 9 or Is It Over?
Garage Squad Season 9
Was Garage Squad cancelled or renewed for season 9? When does it start on MotorTrend Network? Now that season 8 is over, fans are wondering if the show will continue for another season or not. In this post, we have summarized everything we know so far about the next season.
What Is Garage Squad About?
"Garage Squad" rescues weekend mechanics who perhaps lack the time, resources or simple know-how to get their "project" autos road-worthy again.
MotorTrend announced the addition of Bogi Lateiner, an ASE master certified technician and host of ALL GIRLS GARAGE, to the GARAGE SQUAD team. Bogi joins as co-host alongside National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) driver Bruno Massel and lead mechanic Joe Zolper who are now in their 8th season as co-hosts of the series.
As a young woman Bogi pursued automotive repair as a career, becoming an ASE master certified technician and custom car builder. Her passion for empowering women through auto repair led her to found Girl Gang Garage, a unique auto shop whose purpose is to encourage and champion the entry and advancement of women within the automotive and skilled trade industries.
“I’m excited to join GARAGE SQUAD, which is all about changing lives one car at a time,” said new GARAGE SQUAD co-host Bogi Lateiner. “I’m looking forward to helping make dreams come true by getting some amazing cars back on the road and providing real tips for viewers to use on their cars at home.”
In each episode the GARAGE SQUAD comes to the rescue with a team of highly trained mechanics and experts who take over a car owner’s garage with the goal to transform their stalled project into an automotive dream ride. Across America, countless car aficionados have bought a less than perfect version of their dream car hoping their amateur mechanical chops would return that lackluster ride to glory, but are short on knowhow, time, money, and the right tools. Fortunately, the GARAGE SQUAD is always up for doing what it takes to bring joyful tears to even the most hardened car owners.
New episodes of GARAGE SQUAD stream Thursdays beginning October 14 on the MotorTrend App with episodes airing one week later on MotorTrend TV starting Wednesday, October 20 at 10 PM ET/PT.

It appears that Motor Trend has dropped Garage Squad, so they have also dropped me. Since taking over, the really good shows seem to have been dropped or have left.
I agree with Paul. Loved Garage Squad. Make you want to go out and work on your own car. Bring it back!
It's a great show, the shows you are replacing the good shows with kinda suck if you don't think so watch a few of them!
Love the show. One of my favorites. It would be foolish for Motor Trend not to renew such a great show.
GARAGE SQUAD was the best fix it automotive show on television. Why? Because it was REAL. They showed you how to do things. They explained parts, tools and fixes to you and gave you a good final product at the end. And the the shows 'clients' were, and are, genuinely appreciative of their efforts and contributions. G. S. NEEDS to come back!
Motor Trend network has been my go to for some time, I truly enjoy most of the programming & GARAGE SQUAD is my favorite! Love watching the transformations & interactions with the vehicle owners! Have used many of the lessons learned from Joe & company to fix issues with my wife’s car…never knowing there’s a problem until it’s almost too late????.
Knowing the production costs are high…it’s one of 3/4 shows I’ll not switch channels…I’ll even watch the programs scheduled back to back!
Great show. I have watched all episodes twice. I enjoy it very much!!
Garage squad is my favorite show . I love the humor and fellowship an I learn stuff even though I already know a lot. I like to see people get help that so need it I miss heather storm she is fun and pretty. To many shows are about what rich people build that's not my world . Please bring them back help me make it through another Midwest winter
I also enjoy Garage Squad. Motor Trend has cut most of the good shows apparently due to production cost. The new shows are all talk and show you little in regards to how to attain the end result. If Motor Trend can't afford to film decent shows, they should try making fewer shows of quality. If not maybe it's just time for Motor Trend to be cancelled.
I’ve absolutely loved this show since it began 8 yrs. ago! It really needs to be renewed. I watch quite a few car shows; but this is definitely the best! And from reading a few of the other comments, many others agree with me!! I’ve watched so many of the episodes 2 and 3 times!
Please MotorTrend programming renew Garage Squad. First we lost "What's My Car Worth," Then Dan Short and "FANTOM WORKS," and I confirmed today that Wayne Carini is done too. All of the above were in my top 5 of Velocity/MT, so my list has been decimated! If you cancel GS it would then be near a clean sweep. You are still my favorite network but definitely not wearing out my DVR any longer. Bring back Heather Storm to GS, or perhaps Rachel DeBarros, both lovely women who really know what they are doing in the garage!
I believe garage squad is a great show. It shows real they people having real day problems with their autos. I have enjoyed watching the reruns, but the truth is it’s time for new shows. Please bring it back..
I too have watched every show twice or more. What I love about it is it deals with ordinary folk building a car to drive, not some multi-million dollar build for someone with more money than God.
Garage Squad rules! Another season would make me very happy. Perhaps when the show does end, have a 30 minute show covering when part of the Squad goes back to visit previous car rescues and see how the owners are doing. I would really like to see if the 1966 GTO was finished after the squad work hard to finish Veronica's Mustang fastback and Oliver's 66 GTO as a starting point to get Oliver back in action.
any chance of selling some of Joe's tee shirts? What a hoot!
I CAN NOT stand that "Bogi" person. She is repulsive and ruins the whole atmosphere of the show. I have since stopped watching any episodes where she is present.
I stopped watching garage squad because of that OBNOXIOUS "Bogi" . She is an irritating wanna be and just ruins the Show.
I love garage squad. Have watched it since day one and many times over. My favorite auto show since overhaulin. I hate that others like me who enjoy these types of programs keep losing good shows to unrealistic or sub-par programming, from losing Ed China from wheeler dealers to losing fantomworks. Good programs like these have an important place in the car culture, we not only enjoy them, we learn from them as well. I have loved the concept of garage squad since the start. Good folks helping good folks. Let's keep this one going for all of us that like working on our own vehicles.
I love garage squad. Please bring it back. I love the process. The squad itself is really good at what they do. It’s a very enjoyable show I want more.
Best produced show! The best cast you could want. Never get tired of watching it. Please bring it back.
AWESOME bring it back…..
We love Garage Squad! Our Granddaughter, who turns 16 in November, wanted to submit a 1977 F150 Pickup. It was bought by her dad when he turned 16 and she really wants it fixed up for her to drive. Here dad and grandpa fixed it up back in 1988 but neither have time to do so now. She thought it would be a nice touch to revive it. Hope the show gets renewed!
Truly hope the squad returns and expands out past the Chicago area . It is a great show that helps many people in need of professional help .
Garage Squad is the best TV show you have ever produced, The people are real, the script is real, they do not read from a off screen script, and the show, shows just how real people struggle to get their dreams come through. The crew shows how to do repairs correct, and sometimes a better way to get the repair done. The show brings back memories of when motor heads would hang in gas stations at night, and work on their cars, and younger kids would come to watch and learn this great trade. Let's keep saving the old iron
Don't understand why a network would cancel a unique and great show whomever is in charge apparently only likes car customization shows as that seems to be about the only thing they are airing same show different people
Times like these require desperate measures. As we acknowledge the ensuing electric vehicle era, I, as a ICE powered diehard feel we need to have Garage Squad returned to bolster our position through to the end, the demise of ICE vehicles. We all know the power of that connection we have to our rides…the visceral inputs of sound, smell and feel generated at the turn of the key. Now, with that said, my 1967 Land Rover Series 2A needs the engine replaced with a long block Chevy Inline 6 250. Where is Garage Squad when I need them? Long live ICE vehicles!!
One of the best automotive shows on TV. It has a great cast of knowledgeable professionals to help people restore their old rides. I learn something every show that airs. It is so much more entertaining than watching some rich guy drop his car off at a place 99.9% of us could not afford so they can make changes that teach us nothing. There is a huge difference between "bought it" and "build it". If "build it" goes away, so does your automotive audience, and your channel.
First I would like to say that I enjoy watching these DIY shows. One of my favorite shows is Garage Squad. It is one of the few good show left. It will be very sad to see it go, please bring it back. I hoped that they would help me on my project. I retired because on my health and now I do not think I could finish it. Please hang on to the good shows, people really like them…
have not watched one show since you got rid of Heather and replaced her with bogi and crissy lee
Bring back the garage squad show, listen to the fans. You don't want me comm'in over there to talk to you about it.
Nooooooooooooo!
Loved this show.
