What Is Elite About?

The series is set in Las Encinas, a fictional elite secondary school and revolves around the relationships between three working-class teenage students enrolled at the school through a scholarship program and their wealthy classmates. The series features an ensemble cast.

Netflix has confirmed today that ‘Elite’ will have an eighth season, which will start production in August. The longest running fictional series from Netflix in Spain will share new stories from the hallways of Las Encinas, directed this time by Daniel Barone, Ginesta Guindal, Jota Linares and Elena Trapé.

When three working-class teens enroll in an exclusive private school in Spain, the clash between them and the wealthy students leads to murder.

After their school collapses, three working-class friends – Samuel, Nadia and Christian – are offered scholarships to Las Encinas, the most exclusive private school in Spain. The scholarships are sponsored by the construction company at fault for the school’s collapse. At Las Encinas, the three are initially ostracized by the wealthy students. As the school year progresses, their lives intertwine in a clash of lifestyles, resentments, envy, and sexual attraction. Through a series of flash-forward scenes of police interrogations, the audience is shown stories of the characters’ relationships that lead to Marina’s murder.

Netflix has confirmed the new cast members joining the fourth season of ÉLITE.

Andrés Velencoso (Velvet Colección, Edha), Manu Rios (El Chiringuito de Pepe), Carla Díaz (El Príncipe), Martina Cariddi (Mientras dure la guerra), Pol Granch and Diego Martín (Velvet, Familia) will be part of the universe of Las Encinas, one way or the other… Their characters will cross paths with the more seasoned Guzmán (Miguel Bernardeau), Samuel (Itzan Escamilla), Ander (Arón Piper), Omar (Omar Ayuso), Rebeca (Claudia Salas) and Cayetana (Georgina Amorós).

Eduardo Chapero Jackson and Ginesta Guindal will be the directors of this new season, that will also feature Jaime Vaca, David Lorenzo, Almudena Ocaña and Esther Morales as screenwriters. Carlos Montero, Diego Betancor and Jaime Vaca are the executive producers of the fourth season of ÉLITE.
