Tubi (www.tubi.tv), Fox Corporation’s ad-supported video-on-demand service, announced today that it has acquired the exclusive streaming rights to the enthralling South African limited series, DEVIL’S PEAK. The five-episode crime thriller is based on the best-selling 2004 novel by Deon Meyer and is produced by Lookout Point and Expanded Media Productions in association with MultiChoice Studios and BBC Studios.

Tubi will have exclusive rights to the series in the U.S. and Canada, with the premiere set in both countries for January 15, 2024.

DEVIL’S PEAK is an enthralling crime drama that takes place in the picturesque backdrop of Cape Town, South Africa. The series follows Detective Benny Griessel (Hilton Pelser) who is tasked with tracking down a vigilante killer whose crimes are capturing the imagination of the city. As he gets closer to his mark, Griessel finds himself drawn into a dark and dangerous world where nothing is what it seems.

The limited series boasts a South African cast with Pelser (Moffie, Dangerous Liaisons, Kissing Booth) leading alongside Sisanda Henna (Trackers, Rogue) and Tarryn Wyngaard. DEVIL’S PEAK was written and created for television by Matthew Orton (Operation Finale, Moon Knight) who adapted the series with Amy Jephta. Jozua Malherbe (Griekwastad, Justice Served) directed the series with Orton, Laura Lankester from Lookout Point and Francis Hopkinson from Expanded Media executive producing. Nomsa Philiso, Yolisa Phahle, and Allan Sperling of M-Net also executive produced.

Devil’s Peak is produced by Lookout Point and Expanded Media Productions in association with MultiChoice Studios and BBC Studios. BBC Studios, who own Lookout Point, serves as the international distributor of the series.
