What Is Boundless About?
Juan Sebastián Elcano and Ferdinand Magellan's epic voyage around the world after they set sail from Spain 500 years ago.
This is the story of the first boat trip around the world. Magellan and Elcano embarked on a journey trying to prove that the earth was not round and that it was possible to establish new trade routes. In 1519, 239 sailors began the voyage. Three years later, only 18 returned.
