What Is Almost Paradise About?
The drama follows Alex Walker (Christian Kane, Leverage: Redemption), a former U.S. DEA agent who, after his partner's betrayal and a life-threatening battle with hypertension, is forced into early retirement and relocates to a small tropical island in the Philippines.
Kane is Alex Walker, a former U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent forced into early retirement. The combination of his partner’s betrayal and a life-threatening battle with hypertension has sent him as far from the madness as he can get – to a small tropical island in the Philippine archipelago. He now runs the gift shop in the island’s luxury resort hotel, which attracts the rich, powerful, and sometimes criminal elite from around the world. Despite his best efforts to transition from Jason Bourne to Jimmy Buffett, Alex is pulled back into a world of dangerous people and deadly situations – either through his friends in the local police, Kai Mendoza (Samantha Richelle) and Ernesto Alamares (Art Acuña), or encounters with people from his old life. And the problem is that he likes it.
Almost Paradise was shot entirely in the Philippines. Marc Roskin and Rachel Olschan-Wilson of Electric Entertainment executive produce alongside co-showrunners Devlin and Rosen. Mark Franco co-produces.

Absolutely love this show. The decision makers need to listen to the viewers and renew this for more seasons—- not just one more. It’s so entertaining— addictive and I’m with the others who have commented—- please bring it back!!!!!!!

My wife and I are avid fans of Almost Paradise! We want more than 3 seasons! It's a great show with truly adorable characters. The stories are a wonderful balance between the main character's interactions and mayhem/crime/action packed adventures. Excellent writing! Excellent direction and excellent locations!

My husband and I are binging on Almost Paradise – finished Season 1 yesterday and are ready for Season 2 Episode 9 today. It's fine, folks. We're retired, live on Social Security and have no money for outside entertainment. Anyway, we love the show and the fact that it is filmed in the Philippines. The actors are perfect for their roles – all of them. Please, please, please, keep Almost Paradise going.

We truly enjoy this program with its comedy, effectively interlaced with a crime program. The characters are all outstanding, and also enjoyable, to watch! We truly wish to ask those involved with deciding its future give serious consideration to making a third and fourth, maybe even a fifth season. We just don’t have as many enjoyable shows available to us like this one is. A great mix of personalities, situations, competition, action, with great realistic comedy, and all without a lot of blood and disgusting, depressing things like we have to see everywhere else on all other forms.

Please, please, please renew Almost Paradise for 2024. It is one of the very few TV shows that we watch and enjoy. I have been prolonging watching all of season 2 so I have something to watch during the winter.
Almost Paradise is refreshing because it has a perfect balance of drama and humor, is family friendly, has a great cast, and returns to the episodic formula instead of stretching one plotline out over an entire season (though subplots can carry over into multiple episodes). It isn't heavy on the cliffhangers, either. I hope we get at least a season three, hopefully more.
