Alice in Borderland Netflix thriller series first season was released on December 10, 2020. It is a live-action adaptation of the popular Japanese suspense manga series written and illustrated by Haro Aso. The Manga series ended in 2016, but the live-action series doesn’t seem to be going anywhere soon! The first season got an IMDB rating of 7.7 out of 10, and we think it deserves that rating till the end.

Alice in Borderland gained immense popularity right off the bat. State of the art CGI supporting the dystopian world of games all the characters have to play through keeps you hooked. Despite the dystopian world and life-and-death games, it has some scenes that reflect a sense of humor as well.

Spoiler Alert: This article may contain spoilers for the readers that haven’t watched all episodes yet. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Alice In Borderland Plot

Netflix’s adaptation of the manga series starts with three friends; Arisu, Karube, and Chota, finding themselves at the center of empty Tokyo streets what is known as Borderland. While they are wondering where everybody went all of a sudden, they are also trying to find a way out. And to escape this unknown reality, they must complete specific tasks and play escape games along with the other participants.

At first, everything seems like child’s play. But soon they will realize this is a game of life and death.

Season 1 hits you with all kinds of surprises but along with that, there is slow character development throughout the show that helps you connect with the characters.
