What Is Air Disasters About?
Statistically, traveling by airplane is safer than driving and other forms of transportation, but when something goes wrong during a flight, it can be catastrophic with potentially hundreds of lives at stake. This series examines some of the world's worst air disasters, using official reports, transcripts and interviews with people involved to tell the stories of midair mishaps and discover what went wrong in each case. Episodes include a discussion of how the weather affects flights -- including stories of aviation disasters and near-misses -- and a New Year's Eve flight that fell from the sky into the Florida Everglades.
Mayday, known as Air Crash Investigation(s) outside of the United States and Canada and also known as Air Emergency or Air Disasters (Smithsonian Channel) in the United States, is a Canadian documentary television series produced by Cineflix that recounts air crashes, near-crashes, fires, hijackings, bombings, and other mainly flight-related disasters and crises.
It reveals the events that led to each crisis or disaster, their causes as determined by the official investigating body or bodies, and the measures they recommended to prevent a similar incident from happening again. The programs use re-enactments, interviews, eyewitness testimony, computer-generated imagery, cockpit voice recordings, and official reports to reconstruct the sequences of events.

I hope you’re going to keep it on. It help to make you feel safer on planes. Knowing how much updates they make to airplanes. To get people safer to where there going. Please keep Air Disaster on.
This program is fantastic, my wife and I love watching it. We find it interesting to be able to find out what causes each accident.
I have been an Air Disasters fan for years. I own almost all seasons on Amazon Prime. In my opinion the reenactments are so life-like that you feel as though you are on the plane. I hope the Smithsonian Channel continues to keep Air Disasters in their program line up. From what I can see they have a big following. Season 18 just concluded and I am anxiously awaiting Season 19.
