“The Day of the Jackal” Becomes Peacock’s Most-Watched New Original Drama Series
Peacock’s The Day of the Jackal has taken the streaming world by storm, becoming the platform’s most-watched new original drama series. In its first 75 days, the series outperformed all other original dramas within the same timeframe.
Its success extended beyond Peacock, ranking as a Top 10 streaming original drama in the U.S. (per Nielsen) during both its premiere week and finale week. Globally it became the biggest new series launch ever on Sky.

The Day of the Jackal has received recognition from various awards bodies, earning several recent nominations. At the Critics Choice Awards, it was nominated for Best Drama Series and Best Actor in a Drama Series for Eddie Redmayne. The Golden Globe Awards also honored the show with nominations for Best Television Series, Drama, and Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series for Redmayne. Additionally, the Screen Actors Guild Awards recognized the series with nominations for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

Synopsis: An unrivaled and highly elusive lone assassin, the Jackal (Eddie Redmayne), makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee.
