Frankie Drake Mysteries Season 5
Was Frankie Drake Mysteries cancelled or renewed for season 5? When does it start on CBC? Now that season 4 is over, fans are wondering if the show will continue for another season or not. In this post, we have summarized everything we know so far about the next season.
What Is Frankie Drake Mysteries About?
Set in Toronto during the 1920s, FRANKIE DRAKE MYSTERIES follows the city’s only female private detective (Lee Smith) as she takes on the cases the police don’t want or can’t handle. Her gender is her biggest advantage – who would ever think a woman could be a detective? She has a knack for solving cases but she’s no cop – her brand of justice doesn’t always follow the law. Along with her partner Trudy, Frankie and the Drake Detective Agency take on cases of all shapes and sizes. From airplanes and booze running to American G-men, Communists and union busters, Frankie’s fearless sense of adventure gets her into all kinds of trouble, but she always manages to find her way out. In a time of change and hopefulness, Frankie is a woman ahead of everyone. She’s a new detective for a new world. But is the world ready for her?
Season four of Frankie Drake Mysteries opens with our intrepid detectives and their best gal pals, Mary Shaw (Rebecca Liddiard) and Flo Chakowitz (Sharron Matthews), traipsing through the woods on a scavenger hunt that quickly turns deadly. From the wilderness to the world of high society, from an underground cabaret to a candy factory, Frankie and Trudy investigate murders, kidnappings, heists, and poisonings. Using her position as a morality officer, Mary s able to snoop through police files and be privy to non-civilian discussions, while Flo lends a hand with autopsy reports, science experiments, and her newly acquired medical skills.
Frankie Drake Mysteries: Music at Midnight is a coproduction from Ovation TV, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO), and Shaftesbury featuring performances from series stars Chantel Riley and Sharron Matthews alongside series composer Robert Carli and members of the TSO.

Please don't deprive all the fans in the UK of this wonderful and innovative series!
Why do they cancel these great shows!! Why do they leave you wondering what has happened!! Frankie Drake is a great show don't cancel it as it would be a bad move on CBC part!!
Fantastic show….very reminiscent of Ms Fischer Mysteries based in Australia during the same 1920’s….who cancels a series with cliffhangers….when it is the same company that does Murdoch Mysteries and is on SEASON 15….come on Christine Jennings!
This show should be renewed because it is very good!!!!! please bring it back
The end of season 4 was a cliffhanger. They should at least make 1 episode to resolve the storyline. Did trudy got shot? Killed?
This happens in too many shows these days; cliffhanger followed by cancellation. Not good enough.
