What Is Expedition Bigfoot About?
An elite team of Sasquatch specialists journey into the unforgiving Oregon wilderness in search of Bigfoot. The three-week expedition, based on science and expertise, may finally pull the elusive beast out of the pages of legend and lore and into reality.
2020 may just be the year the world turned upside down. But for Travel Channel’s “Expedition Bigfoot” team, it was a rare moment in time when three very important sets of data converged – and put them one step closer to capturing evidence of the legendary, elusive creature. The “Expedition Bigfoot” team have reassembled to review their findings from last season and reevaluate the algorithm to respond to the uptick in Bigfoot sightings just this year, in the new one-hour special premiering on Sunday, January 3 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Then the team hit the ground running for an exciting Season Two, premiering at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
The advanced data algorithm has revealed a 75,000-acre swatch of Appalachian forest in southeast Kentucky, where the mathematical odds of a Bigfoot encounter are greatly increased during a specific 21-day window. With limited time and opportunity, the team – including Bryce Johnson (expedition operations); Dr. Mireya Mayor (primatologist); Russell Acord (ex-military/survivalist); Ronny LeBlanc (Bigfoot researcher) – have honed in on promising new targets. And this year, their analysis has uncovered something new – possible Bigfoot migratory patterns that may reveal precisely where the legendary beasts will be and when they will be there.
Throughout their two-month journey, the team use the latest in advanced technologies to narrow their search within the designated target zones. As the investigation intensifies, evidence that Bigfoot are in the area begins to pile up – vocalizations, unexplained structures, DNA samples and massive 16-inch footprints that no man could have left behind. This scientific expedition may finally take one of the world’s greatest mysteries out of the pages of legend and lore and into reality. The new season is comprised of 12 new one-hour episodes and two one-hour specials.
“Using science, technology and true grit, the team is genuinely invested in solving this iconic mystery and it’s a wild and exciting ride – closing in on the legendary monster that is also the world champion of being socially distant,” said Matthew Butler, general manager, Travel Channel.

The footage captured by this group is unparalleled. I've been watching Bigfoot shows, documentaries, movies, etc. since the late mid-seventies,(76) (Not to mention the reams of stuff I've read on the subject!) Of all the shows to get back on the air, this is the one. I love the way they search for scientific evidence, period. It's just a matter of time, not if, but when, they prove the Existence of BF.

Please bring it back Expedition BigFoot is the best programme on TV. They got so close in Series 2, they were all so brave and fearless in trying to prove BigFoot’s existence, they were just beaten by the wild fires.
Bring this show back and have them go to Snelgrove Lake Ontario. Monster quest did a show about that place maybe 15 years ago and there were lots of reports and strange occurances there. It is a fly in fishing camp and you are the only ones there. The place is seriously remote and could easily harbor a squatch. P.S. have them set up dozens of trail cameras to see what comes thru

In these days of less and less true entertainment, this is a positive added value for us all. I do see the team finding and documenting the creature and then we will all wish we had watched all of the episodes. I do wish they continue to broadcast on satellite TV so I can see them. We are rural and streaming is not an option. Kind of sad so much is slipping away to that medium. There are many of us that just want to see this show. Not sure how they all ignore the bugs and snakes out there in the Kentucky wild, but power to them. I want this solved before my last days on this earth, so please keep up the hard work and prove the non believers wrong.
I love expedition Bigfoot. There are two problems with this show. One problem is there is not enough episodes. The other problem is that the wait for the next season is is too long. There are just a few shows that I like to watch. They all play a few weeks then stop. Then they pick up months later leaving us trying to find anything at all to watch. By then I have about given up on watching watching TV. I start doing other things besides watching all of the other tired shows. Please either make more episodes or more similar type shows to fill in the gaps. Thanks.
This is the best Bigfoot show I've seen. The other Bigfoot shows do a 1 or 2 night investigation and some may do a week long camping investigation, but that's enough time.
I've always believed that they needed to stay in the area longer so the Sasquatch can become accustomed to people in their territory. And Expedition Bigfoot does this.
