What Is Expedition Bigfoot About?
An elite team of Sasquatch specialists journey into the unforgiving Oregon wilderness in search of Bigfoot. The three-week expedition, based on science and expertise, may finally pull the elusive beast out of the pages of legend and lore and into reality.
2020 may just be the year the world turned upside down. But for Travel Channel’s “Expedition Bigfoot” team, it was a rare moment in time when three very important sets of data converged – and put them one step closer to capturing evidence of the legendary, elusive creature. The “Expedition Bigfoot” team have reassembled to review their findings from last season and reevaluate the algorithm to respond to the uptick in Bigfoot sightings just this year, in the new one-hour special premiering on Sunday, January 3 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Then the team hit the ground running for an exciting Season Two, premiering at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
The advanced data algorithm has revealed a 75,000-acre swatch of Appalachian forest in southeast Kentucky, where the mathematical odds of a Bigfoot encounter are greatly increased during a specific 21-day window. With limited time and opportunity, the team – including Bryce Johnson (expedition operations); Dr. Mireya Mayor (primatologist); Russell Acord (ex-military/survivalist); Ronny LeBlanc (Bigfoot researcher) – have honed in on promising new targets. And this year, their analysis has uncovered something new – possible Bigfoot migratory patterns that may reveal precisely where the legendary beasts will be and when they will be there.
Throughout their two-month journey, the team use the latest in advanced technologies to narrow their search within the designated target zones. As the investigation intensifies, evidence that Bigfoot are in the area begins to pile up – vocalizations, unexplained structures, DNA samples and massive 16-inch footprints that no man could have left behind. This scientific expedition may finally take one of the world’s greatest mysteries out of the pages of legend and lore and into reality. The new season is comprised of 12 new one-hour episodes and two one-hour specials.
“Using science, technology and true grit, the team is genuinely invested in solving this iconic mystery and it’s a wild and exciting ride – closing in on the legendary monster that is also the world champion of being socially distant,” said Matthew Butler, general manager, Travel Channel.

Never before have I been so captivated by a Bigfoot search….so looking forward to season 3 and the professional approach to this series….please renew this series until their definitive results have come to a conclusive end….than I look forward to a scientific approach of welcoming a new species to science.

My husband and I absolutely LOVE this show. I have tried to watch several other series about Bigfoot, but was disappointed with each of them. We have watched every show and even gone back and watched them over again. I can’t understand why this wouldn’t be renewed!!! Please bring back season 3!!!
This is the best Bigfoot research show! The cast really know what they are doing. This show needs to be renewed, because this is probably the only way Bigfoot will be found. They have gotten closer than anyone!

I love this show. They need to put season 3 on
I didn't realize your show was fake until the last episode when they asked each member where they wanted to go next season. If your show was real your research team would have gone straight back to the Olympic Peninsula, where they found solid evidence of Bigfoot under the railroad trestle and picked up where they left off when they were forced to evacuate due to the forest fire. You really had me believing the show as real until they discussed searching in other locations, rather than picking up a hot trail in Washington state.
Expedition Bigfoot has been so far the most professional and believable of any shows done on the search and proof of it's existance. Please continue the show because I feel they are so close to finding the truth we gave all been waiting for!!!!

We love this show. It really is the best Bigfoot documentary on TV and they've come closer to getting actual evidence of Bigfoot than any of the other shows. Please renew it soon. Expedition Bigfoot is the best show on the Travel Channel. Please read new Expedition Bigfoot to continue revealing the truth about the legendary Sasquatch. The conspiracy about the government being involved in shutting down the show is becoming a reality. It seems like every time the team gets close to the truth they get pulled from a mission. So put the show back on unless the government has told you to do different.
