What Is Expedition Bigfoot About?
An elite team of Sasquatch specialists journey into the unforgiving Oregon wilderness in search of Bigfoot. The three-week expedition, based on science and expertise, may finally pull the elusive beast out of the pages of legend and lore and into reality.
2020 may just be the year the world turned upside down. But for Travel Channel’s “Expedition Bigfoot” team, it was a rare moment in time when three very important sets of data converged – and put them one step closer to capturing evidence of the legendary, elusive creature. The “Expedition Bigfoot” team have reassembled to review their findings from last season and reevaluate the algorithm to respond to the uptick in Bigfoot sightings just this year, in the new one-hour special premiering on Sunday, January 3 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Then the team hit the ground running for an exciting Season Two, premiering at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
The advanced data algorithm has revealed a 75,000-acre swatch of Appalachian forest in southeast Kentucky, where the mathematical odds of a Bigfoot encounter are greatly increased during a specific 21-day window. With limited time and opportunity, the team – including Bryce Johnson (expedition operations); Dr. Mireya Mayor (primatologist); Russell Acord (ex-military/survivalist); Ronny LeBlanc (Bigfoot researcher) – have honed in on promising new targets. And this year, their analysis has uncovered something new – possible Bigfoot migratory patterns that may reveal precisely where the legendary beasts will be and when they will be there.
Throughout their two-month journey, the team use the latest in advanced technologies to narrow their search within the designated target zones. As the investigation intensifies, evidence that Bigfoot are in the area begins to pile up – vocalizations, unexplained structures, DNA samples and massive 16-inch footprints that no man could have left behind. This scientific expedition may finally take one of the world’s greatest mysteries out of the pages of legend and lore and into reality. The new season is comprised of 12 new one-hour episodes and two one-hour specials.
“Using science, technology and true grit, the team is genuinely invested in solving this iconic mystery and it’s a wild and exciting ride – closing in on the legendary monster that is also the world champion of being socially distant,” said Matthew Butler, general manager, Travel Channel.

I believe your dealings with a primitive but intelligent primates.Our relatives used astral projection to find game.Gifted tribe members. Our government has tried using it, Montauk project, not new and there are gifted spiritual people today. I think the orbs are there astral bodies.You need spiritual talent in that area.
By far the best Bigfoot show of them all. I’ve been following Dr M. Meyer for years and she’s the real deal as well as Ronnie Leblanc. Would be a shame to not continue their research. This show the only reason I purchased Discovery Plus.

Expedition Bigfoot and the team are the best. A huge huge huge fan and while I have been watching any show I could find on bigfoot when I saw the first episode of Expedition Bigfoot I stopped watching all others…this is by far my favorite show hands down…Mariah, Russell, Bryce, Ronnie are the best and the talent for this expedition is proof positive this show should stay and return with seasons 3, 4, and however many is required to take Bigfoot off the myth radar and bring it to reality…this is the team to do just that…they being evert thing they have to the table…please oh please continue.

My advice is that you hire someone like me that can slip in and out without Bigfoot knowing I’m there. The noise, lights, smells, energy released by your cast and crew is great for TV but not for finding an illusive creature.

I want to see season 3, do not cancel. With so much evidence given to the scientific community, the final data results that came back from the scientific community is substantial to indicate a bipedal primate that does exist with extraordinary abilities.

We love your show. We are from NJ and now live in Northeastern WA. We think season 3 would be best successful in the Pacific Northwest. We have spent a lot of time in the Pine Barrens and think that is a dead end for bigfoot research (not for Jersey Devil, though). Wondering why are you leaving Washington. You should follow the trail of excellent evidence you found in the Olympic Peninsula or try BC. Just our 2 cents.
Absolutely love this program. It isn't corney like some Bigfoot series. I would love to see the team explore more. The obvious technology they use is striking. The scientific anomalies seem to be authentically presented. Great television entertainment! Let's do season 3!!
